Hi! I’m Sarah.
Sarah Wilkinson – Female Personal Trainer Manchester, Online Coat, Mat Pilates Instructor
For most of my life, fitness wasn’t something that came naturally to me.
As a child I loved swimming — racing and synchronised swimming — but outside of that I was never particularly into exercise. When I began my career as a chef, the long hours, pressure and lifestyle took a toll on my health. I felt constantly exhausted, physically weak and mentally drained. My anxiety and depression were at their worst and I knew something had to change.
At 21, I started training properly for the first time in my life.
What began as a small step towards improving my health slowly turned into something much bigger. I set myself challenges, built strength, improved my fitness and began to take care of both my physical and mental wellbeing. Over time I lost weight, gained confidence and realised just how powerful movement can be in transforming the way we feel about ourselves.
After leaving cheffing, I moved into a more traditional career in law. While it was stable and sensible, I couldn’t ignore the impact that improving my health had had on my life. I wanted to help other people experience that same shift — not just physically, but mentally too.
That’s what led me to become a personal trainer.
Today, I work with both men and women who want to feel healthier, stronger and more confident in their bodies — without sacrificing their lives to extreme diets or exhausting workout plans. My coaching focuses on building sustainable habits, improving wellbeing and helping people feel comfortable and capable both in and out of the gym.
My own health journey is still ongoing. I live with endometriosis and was recently diagnosed with PCOS, which means I’m continually learning how to train with an ever-changing body, manage flare-ups and prioritise recovery and balance. That experience has deepened my understanding of how important it is to train in a way that supports your body, rather than fighting against it.
I believe fitness should enhance your life — not take it over.
Outside of coaching, I’m 30 years old, married to a chef (so good food is always close by), and still enjoy swimming whenever I can — a reminder of where my journey with movement first began.
Whether you’re new to the gym, returning after time away, or simply looking for a healthier and more balanced approach to training, my goal is to help you build strength, confidence and habits that last.
